Website redesign

Being online for a while now and getting more visitors in the last months, I found, that my website needed a redesign. I took the nice zenlike-style by [[http://nodethirtythree.com/|nodethirtythree design]] and wrapped up a dokuwiki-template around it. I really like it! It’s clear, strong, easy to read and somewhat sophisticated.

After creating the template, I restructured the site’s navigation by using zenlike’s top menu for the important entry points. And because it’s my website and my personal life is in german and my professional life mostly in english, I designed the site to be bilingual. You can find these neat two-column-texts throughout the site. The left part of it is in german, the right one in english. So everybody, english and german, can read something on this site.

I’m not translating it, mind you! The blog posts stay mainly in english, but there could by posts in german (which I will tag with „deutsch“), so bilingual’s there, too.
